These thermal store vessels (or buffer vessels) are being clad with 100 mm of fibreglass rockwool to meet the clients heat loss efficient requirements. The top layer is 0.8 mm of smooth stucco aluminium sheet with siliconed and riveted sheets to weather seal. (By Rilmac in Lincoln)
These large thermal stores provide the Buffer for fluctuations in demand from a renewable heat project. Biomass boilers, gasification and combined heat and power installations can only be efficient if they have a suitably sized thermal store – normally larger than usually specified !
