Frequently used on drilling rigs and offshore applications to join flexible hoses safely and tidily to a main compressed air supply or compressor without having significant losses in the compressed air flow or pressure due to complex pipework.

Frequently these distribution manifolds or air pigs are built and CE marked but for offshore applications they may be built to other regulations depending upon the third-party body involved including Det Norsk Veritas Lloyds register and American bureau of shipping – abbotts and company manufacture a range of these and they can be built to your design to meet the requirements of which ever the authority is on your rig or if inland can simply be CE marked to meet the requirements of the pressure equipment directive.
